At St Mellion Church of England Primary School, we aim to provide our children with an environment in which they feel safe, can forge life-long friendships and are suitably supported to achieve their full potential holistically. We wholeheartedly believe that our school's vision and ethos helps to lay the foundations for all to develop physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally. As a result of our strong Christian distinctiveness we have seen some of our children want to become agents of change and support local and nationwide causes for the greater good of humanity.
As part of St Barnabas Multi-Academy Trust, we encourage our children to 'Bring It!'. When we discuss Bringing It within school we talk about what we can learn from The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14–30) and how we can bring our talents to school so that we can be the best versions of ourselves to enable us to flourish. This is supported by the Church of England's vision for education to live 'life in all its fullness' (John 10:10). Additionally, we have three core Christian values that are threaded through daily school life and help to remind us God loves us all. Our Christian values of courage, creativity and friendship help all of us (children and adults) to live out our vision through learning and relationships in school. Many of these themes are explored within our daily acts of worship. Our Collective Worship policy can be seen at the bottom of this page.
St. Mellion Church of England Primary School has officially been recognised as a place where both pupils and adults flourish. Our whole school life is shaped by our Christian vision, 'Bring It!', inspired by the Bible's Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30). We aim to inspire a lifetime of adventure by encouraging every child to be excited, engaged, and use their unique talents. This is shown in our recent inspection report carried out by SIAMS in September 2025.
